The holiday season is a time of joy, celebration, and creativity, and this year was no exception for the students of various schools who participated in the annual Christmas card competition hosted by Olé Spanish School. More than 100 enthusiastic young minds from St George's RC Primary School in Enfield, Osidge School in Southgate, Sacred Heart RC School in Whetstone, St Monica's RC School in Southgate, Eversley Primary School in Oakwood, Hadley Wood Primary School, King Alfred School in Hampstead, and the talented students at the Dance Studio at Chase Side, poured their imagination onto paper to capture the essence of "Nuestra Navidad con Olé."
The competition was a remarkable showcase of creativity and enthusiasm, making the task of selecting a winning entry a challenging one. The dedicated team at the Olé Spanish School's Head Office had the tough job of sifting through an array of delightful designs, each reflecting the festive spirit in its unique way.
During the culminating session, a vibrant "Fiesta" was held, marking the closure of a year brimming with Spanish learning, engaging books, exciting games, and, of course, delectable food. Each child received a heartfelt farewell and a Christmas present to cherish the memories of their learning journey.
The highlight of the event was the moment when Riva was presented with the well-deserved award for her outstanding design. Malcolm, a dedicated volunteer currently pursuing his A-Level studies at St Alban's Boys in St Albans, had the honor of presenting Riva with an Olé Teddy Bear and an exclusive Ole Spanish fleece, welcoming her into the Olé Spanish School family with warmth and pride.
The festive celebration was a resounding success, echoing with laughter and cheer. As we bid farewell to this year's event, we invite everyone to join us in congratulating Riva for her remarkable artistic achievement. Her card captured the spirit of "Nuestra Navidad con Olé," and it might just inspire you to create the winning card for next year!
At Olé Spanish School, nurturing creativity, language skills, and a sense of belonging is at the heart of what we do. We look forward to another year of fostering talent, celebrating diversity, and spreading the joy of learning Spanish.
Here's to Riva, her artistic brilliance, and the festive spirit that unites us all during this wonderful time of the year!
